(D) Ron Kirk and (R) John [b]Cornyn[/b] debated last night..

of course many questions were asked and many were answered..

then both Candidates were asked :

1. should more Federal money be made aviable for Background checks..
2. Should private Sales at gun shows be banned…
3. Would you support the AW BAN renewal in 2004.

Johns answers:
1. Yes any money needed to keep the current programs going .
2. NO. If I want to sell an old shotgun to Ron Kirk then the govt has NO NEED TO INTRUD on the sale.
3. To my ears … very clearly made out the the choice a free citizen makes in weapons is just that, his/her choice and again Govt should not be able to decide what a free man can buy… and finally ..NO he would NOT support a new AW ban.

Ron Kirks answers:
1. Yes money should be given … if the FED govt make a mandate the FED should/must provide funs.
2. I was unclear on his answer
3. He will make that judgement when the time comes < translation… YES .. why would a common subject NEED that type of weapon>

If it matters any it looked like the guy that asked the AW ban question was disappointed with [b]Cornyns[/b] answer [:)]

Of course other topics such as SS were covered but as a 26y/o it didn’t concern me…
I was to busy jumping up and down like a fool with an ear to ear smile..

Ron Kirk is a socialist Democrat.  He is vehement in his desire to tax the internet, remove guns from any government supported venue and uses the race card at every opportunity.  Vote for John Cornyn if you support RKBA.

I can't even imagine that this race would be as close as the media has portrayed it!

I think [b]John Cornyn[/b] wins by 10%, at least!

I can't see this Kirk character being elected in Texas of all places.  Maybe MD or CA.. but surely not Texas.

I think a lot of Democrats will be skirting gun control issues in this and the next big election, until AFTER they are in office. Do yourself a favor if you have any Democrat friends/acquaintances, point them to the Libertarian party.

Democrats are surely "social terrorists."  Look at how slimy and nebulous his answers were.
