Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - New Winchester Short Mags

I was at the gun store today and heard about  2 of the new Winchester Short Mags. They are the  .243 WSSM (Win super short mag) and the .223 WSSM. The .223 WSSM is about the same length as a standard .223 but the case is about 1.5 times the diameter. The .223 WSSM is supposed to fire at 400 fps faster than a .22-250! That's fast!

Wow, that 22 would really turn the velocity-crazed world of varmint cartridges on its head.

EDITED TO ADD:  Crap, I was hoping they would come out with the 338 WSM next.
