The first thing to do is to get yourself a couple of new USGI aluminum mags and try them. If you still have feed problems, try Federal or Winchester ball ammo with the GI mags. More likely than not it is your magazine.

I had the same prob with my Armalites 10 rnd use USGI mags and your probs should go away. [sniper]

Your rifle is suffering from "CAMP". Cheap-Ass Mag Problem. |

I just bought a new bushmaster and it is having the exact same problems. I have some usgi mags on the way. Is there a warranty on the factory mag. I pisses me off that I spent all that money on the gun and the factory mag is a peice of shit. i would like to make them send me a new one if possible.
