i am doing a report on gun control, and how it is not a good method of decreasing violent crime. i was just wondering if you guys could help me out with some links to sources on the net that would support my point..maybe somehting about the australia gun control laws too. thanks

Change the topic of your paper to "Why was the 1994 Crime Bill Stupid" and I have a 23 page paper for you with legal citations. No help with your topic though, considering most studies have been performed by anti gun groups.

However, you can point to FBI UCR statistics on guns and perps in crimes and maybe draw a correlation between illegal guns/illegal owners and use in crimes to support the theory that it isn't lawful gun owners that are a problem.

Seriously, Austria is a fantastic example of how an armed society is a polite society. Austria has the lowest per capita crime rate in the world and lots of selective fire assault rifles floating around.

Contrast pre and post firearms ban crime rates in Australia and Great Britain. Do the same for US states pre CCW and post. Show the trends in easy to understand graphs. Be well researched and logical. Avoid emotionalism. Use logical arguments. Use quotes from criminals about how they feel about gun control. Sammy "The Bull" Gravano was all for it. Show how gun seizures led to the genocide of many a race and how horrible totalitarian governments are built on it. It won't be hard.
