How much would one of those run? I remeber seeing some for sale out of the SGN but I cant recall how much.

The only thing I don't like about the PK (it is a PK isn't it?) is that the belt feeds in from the right hand side.

I remember seeing a transferable one (one of VERY few, possible the only one) that was for sale.
The asking price was $75,000 if I remember correctly.... |

Ok, I want that too, but add in the following target: Beltway shooter and van, about 100 yards in front of me and a clear field of fire.
On another note, the US actually got a few of those, modified them to .308 and tested them for the US military. It came within a whisker of being the US standard medium machine gun! |

that is the pkm (pulemet kalashnikova modernei) lmg in 7.62x54r.
pmds versions are actually inexpensive. i have shot a few of these and they are a gas. two of my friends have the bulgarian made version. the non-disintegrating belt snakes thru the gun smoothly and the felt recoil is minimal. |

They went for about 680 USD here in the mid 90s, with the tripods included in the price...
