By its very nature, it is not possible to fashion ANYTHING from denim that would be considered appropriate for business. Now, if you are meeting at the local bar or selling tools, it may be passable, but do not fool yourself into thinking it would be acceptable elsewhere.

Here's my complex, slightly metrosexual answer: If the suit coming in is a jeans guy (would recognize something like Sevens or Diesels for instance) then I'd think they were fine as long as they were dark and not aged, and you wore a nice shirt and well maintained leather shoes. If he isn't a jeans guy (he doesn't realize there are jeans out there that cost more than $30) then I would DEFINITELY not wear jeans, even if they are "nice." How you would know whether or not he is a jeans guy is beyond me if you've never met the dude or spent time with him off the clock.
This is an answer from a 35 year old Area Sales Manager for a Fortune 500 Company, and it's worth what you paid for it. |

Grown men should not wear jeans unless they are doing manual labor or riding a horse. Jeans as a staple are for women and kids. ...and fuck no. Business casual most certainly does not include any flavor of jean unless maybe your office is in Saskatchewan. |

Depends on your company. At my place of work you could get away with a "nice" pair of jeans and a button down shirt. My day to day wear is jeans and a t shirt. I'd quit if they told us suit and tie was the new required wear.
