Some good press

2 killed in robbery attempt

Two men suspected of attempting to invade a home in North Carolina Friday died after a gunfight with the homeowner.

Fayetteville Police tell WTVD both robbery suspects fled the home after the exchange of gunfire. One of the suspects, 25-year-old Dominik Council, was found dead on the side of the road nearly two hours after the incident.

The other suspect, 20-year-old Xavier White, was found wounded and transported to an area hospital, where he later died, according to the station.

Police said the homeowner, who was not identified, was injured during the gunfight. Details on the individual's condition were not immediately available.

Police on Saturday identified 24-year-old Lamyer Campbell and 24-year-old Derek Hair as suspects in the attempted home invasion.

Play stupid games and all that.

Hope the homeowner was justified and recovers well from injuries.

Possibly, depends on the condition of homeowner, I hope he is ok, not good news if he dies or is severely injured.

For those not in the know, Fayetteville, NC is the city right outside of Fort Bragg, the biggest (population wise) military base in the US.

A large portion of the population is active duty or former active duty whether retired or ETSed. The citizenry in this area is well armed and trained.

Several home invaders a year meet similar fates here. You'd think they'd realize it was a bad area to try this nonsense.

Except that felons are not particularly known for their good judgment.

I tried to find out more information, on CNN and those communists over there do not have any mention of this.

The national MSM will not cover this, because it was 1 good guy with a gun stopping 4 bad guys.

That standard capacity handgun (15ish +)or AR (30+)  would sure as shit be handy against 4 bad guys

Yup, can't let people out there know that a lot of home invadors "roll deep" enough to wear a 6 shooter, double barrell s/g, or 7rd 1911 would put the family at a severe disadvantage in defending themselves, not to mention they are the ones who have to deal with the element of suprise, and the fear of having that happen to you.  Heres to hoping the home owner is ok, and not a victim of perps family's making threats, or protesting on his yard, as is sometimes the case with these.
