I was at a surplus store in Dallas yesterday and noticed that they had new MARPAT cammies for sale!  They are US made to old cammie specs, not cut like the new USMC cammies, but are made of the authentic new material.  I saw sizes lg, xl, xxl, but they may have more - pants and jackets available. $30-$35 IIRC.

If anyone is interested:

The Army Store
10606 Garland Rd.
Dallas, tx. 75218
214-328-1341

Actually, I'm 99.9% sure that it is either "mountain stalker" or "jungle stalker" camo and *not* MARPAT.

What's that I hear.....??????  Could it be the sound of STRLN running to find a computer while on deployment to lambast those who might dare wear the sacred pants of the Marines?

Yeah,
I hear since I use  Swiss "ARMY" knife if I ever go to Switzerland I can be jailed for treason. You know since I was never in the Swiss Army.

D@mn!  I checked in for the usual MARPAT bloodletting.  This thread is weak.  I doubt it will even be locked.

You may be right on the spelling thing, but I'm pretty sure the rest is true, even if it is not factually accurate [;)]

Yup.  You can get the at GI Surplus on College Street in Beaumont, too.  Got some as a Christmas present.  Not that well made though, the (sewing) pattern.

well since STLRN has a previous engagement i'll step up to the plate in my own distinctive style:

"if you think its cool to buy and wear MARPAT, and you are not a United States Marine then youre a punk-ass poser and you need to put your money where your mouth is and dial 1-800-MARINES and tell the nice Staff NCO who answers to come pick you up in his GSA dodge stratus cuz you got your birth certificate and your social security card and you want to be 03 and wear MARPAT, and MOLLE and an interceptor and you want to run down the ramp and put rounds into the enemies of Mom and apple pie."

how'd i do gang??? enough venom or should i try the more verbose, polysyllabic approach?

My brother, Front-Sight-Poster, is a Marine  and he's cool with me having it.  I don't pretend I'm a Marine.  I like it because it is effective.

However, I still mostly wear my Tigers.
