I'm sure Don R will be mortified at this thread. I know I would if I was in this position. With that said, I accept no refunds. I just hope I have a champion like Hiram Ranger when I am down.

I'm new around here and I'm not sure if I've had the pleasure of meeting Don R on the boards, but like fizassist said, I trust you guys.  If you hold him in such high regards, he must be a great guy.

Can't afford much right now, but hopefully $10 will help.

I clicked on the above link & I got a "pet" site, not human. I certainly don't mind helping a fellow human gun owner but I do draw the line on someone else's pets.

A) Please shed some light on the situation for those of us not "in the know".

B) Can I send the money w/o getting a book?

Should we arrange a donation of Geritol?

I'm a little confused? There are a couple of threads soliciting donations for Don. Can someone help me out/explain this?? The date of the post below is 10/1/02...

I paid $925.00 for a Mini-Krink shipped.  (SBR)

(Our own "DonR" decided that Krink oughta live in his house and I'm in the process of transferring my rifle to him !!)

Is this a "freebee", or is Don purchasing it??

Liberty, the answer to your question is neither. What we're doing is just transferring the rifle down here at subslr's request, for reasons of his own.  Sorry for any confusion.

My family and I would like to express our deepest thanks to all the folks here for their support, emails, IM's, and phone calls.  Sometimes an outpouring of support like you guys have shown us, works miracles in restoring someone's self-esteem.  For this, I'll always be indebted to you.

Things on the job front are going well.  Hopefully within the next week, I'll be going back to the world of auto parts for a local dealership.

I ask that send nothing more to us, but please keep showing your kindness to others.  I've learned first hand how devastating feeling beyond hope can be. I don't wish this on anyone.  As one of our members told me, "Leave no one behind".

Check will go out tomorrow. Don't worry about the book.

Life's been good to my family this year. Hopefully I can pass some of our good fortune on to you.
If things work out for you guy's financially and you don't feel you need it use it for Christmas presents for the kids. BTW, many cultures consider the refusal of gifts to be a great insult. That'd be my culture.

Hahaha Don...Too late, Gecko 45 and the other Mall Ninja's at our local AO ("area of operations" - you call it a mall) took up a collection at the food court yesterday and gave it to Juggernaut and I to mail out to you.

The Man upstairs provides for his children. - and No...I'm not talking about mall management.

Anything for DonR and his family, they are good people and it would be my pleasure to help out. Thanks to HiramRanger for posting, I know how difficult life can be at times and how hard it is to ask for help. Left up to DonR, I'm sure we would never have know that he was down right now. Hang in there buddy.
