In highschool, we were at this girl's party outside, and her dad came up and said something about the good tortilla chips in the whitest jargon.
Problem was...he pronounced the two "L"s at the end of the word tortilla.  My friend and I looked at each other, and had to hold it in.

A dipshit kid who worked for me once called them jap-a-leno. His literacy was marginal, which is why he was stacking wood and shoveling gravel for minimum wage. When I told him hal-a-pen-yo, he wasn't sure if I was pulling his leg because it wasn't how it was spelled on his bag of chips.
