Petey Wheatstraw The Devil's Son-In-Law?

The Dolomite franchise is definitely worth checking out.

There's several with Fred "The Hammer" Williamson that are decent.  The ones starring Yaphet Kotto tend to be more mainstream, but still worth a look.

Coffy/Foxy Brown are Pam Grier staples.  She also did several less
gritty roles like Friday Foster, Sheba Baby, Scream Blacula Scream,
etc.  Also worthwhile are her Women in Prison (WIP) films such as White
Mama, Black Mama, The Arena, Big Bird Cage & Big Doll House.

And the sequel to "Cotton Comes To Harlem", "Come Back Charleston blue".

"Watermelon Man"  Godfrey Cambridge at his finest.  Sorta "Black Like Me" in reverse-a white guy wakes up one morning and finds he's turned black.

"The Legend Of Nigger Charlie"  There was a sequel to this but i can't remember the name.  Starred Fred Williamson, I think.

Richard Pryor's in it and there's some pretty hilarious scenes.

Goldie: "Mr. Pretty Tony, I mean, you know the rules of the game. I mean yo bitch just chose me. Now we can settle this like you got some class, or we can get into some gangster shit."

Pretty Tony: "You shadetree n*gga, you ain't no pimp. You a rest haven for hos."

Hahahahahaha
