That would be a big "no".  I'll have to go pick it up at the post office even though the order is broken into several flat rate boxes.

USPS sucks.

The last time i had them show up it was two flat rate boxes totaling around 80 pounds.   We're on a rural route so the woman just drove up the driveway and knocked on the door, asking for help to unload it.   She alluded to the fact that she was curious what was in there...  I said, "well it's pretty much a box full of lead".

They delivered lead to my house a few weeks back.

Then again, my mailman isn't the stereotypical mailman....some time ago I was working across town one day and my battery crapped out on me. The mailman came by as I was lifting the hood, and stopped and jumped me off so I could get to the battery store.

The last time I had a large shipment, 2 cases of 5.45, I got a knock at the door and a request to help unload it.

I can understand 100+ pound boxes, but they won't deliver a 30 pound box?  That's pathetic.

My order will likely show up as either 8 or 12 boxes. The heaviest will be will be 35-ish pounds.  I'll have to pick all of them up.

I had a 2000 lbs of lead delivered a few years ago broken up into dozens of boxes, USPS held them for a week until they had enough to make a single drop, didnt matter though I had more coming and the 200lbs they brought was a drop in the bucket.   Also had 2000 50bmg bullets show up the same way, they delivered them without incident.

They delivered 216lbs of 9mm bullets to my door back in December so I say yes :)

I think its up to the individual mailman doing your route. My mailman (rural route) delivered two flat rate boxes of bullets weighing about 65lbs each.

Maybe the in town mailmen (who drive the little USPS trucks) don't deliver heavy stuff. The rural route guys (who drive their own vehicles) seem to.

Fuckers always make me go pick up my bullets.  And I would say my orders are less than 40 lbs.   Damned girly men.

Happened three or four times, PITA since I have to arrange it during business hours and wait in line.
