So you have ridiculous beyond belief gun laws that makes it difficult to own a firearm in NYC, but you can own a dangerous dog, that attacked a child for no apparent reason. And end up as the owner of the dog with just a citation.

Makes sense.

Is it legal to carry a walking stick in NYC?  I think I might affect a limp to get away with a good FG staff with a brass knob on the end if I ever have to go there.

Notice how far away the dog is when it targeted the child.  It's a predator going after prey, no different than a wolf or tiger.  This was not one of those "got in it's personal space or teased the dog " type of excuses dog owners use. .

I can't believe all those Pitbull attacks in the link. Someone should pass a law to save the children.

The Pitbull is the assault weapon of the canine world. If any dog bites a human it is usually reported in the media as a Pitbull.
Yes Pitbull attacks can be more severe but Labs are responsible for more human bites every year.
My last dog was an American Stafforshire Terrier. I lost him after 10 great years to cancer. I could not have wished for a more loving, loyal or carefree dog.
My replacement dog is a Catahula leopard Cur Dog.

All my neighbors think she is a Pitbull and don't believe her papers.

ALL DOGS ARE DANGEROUS!

Your sarcastic tone did not strike home, Poodle put's 7y old in hospital:

I don't see it. A dog is a living, breathing creature with a mind of its own. A gun is an inanimate object.

Your article is from 4 years ago. It doesn't really help your point that you have to go back 4 years to find an instance where a child was attacked by a poodle.

The problem with Pits is the way that they relentlessly attack. I would have shot the dog and more than likely the owner if he tried to intervene.

I'm gangsta like that.

I'm not saying any breed should be banned.  People just need to keep their fucking dogs away from stranger's kids, and they need to be charged when their failure to do so causes injury or death.

Had two friends tell me that. One had their dog kill the family cat (that the dog "loved" so much) when it was out in the backyard playing around. When the cat ran after something and the dog, a pit, instinctively gave chase, caught it and killed it. The other friend had to put his dog down for being overly aggressive toward children. Thank god he got over the "my puppy wouldn't do nuffin" before someone got hurt.

I'm not for banning dogs, but some breeds definitely belong in the garbage can.
