Here at work I am running the District DOS based financial program on both XP Pro and Win2K workstations.
It's a pretty complex program, and neither OS chokes on it. Av. |

how do your installations go? alot of manual config or pretty straight forward?

It took some tweaking of the memory settings for the progam before it would work. I also had to resetup the network (Novell) printers so they were mapped to an LPT port.
Otherwise it was pretty simple. Av. |

Rbase should run on either (Damn, that brings back memories, I made a lot of money writing code in the pseudo-SQL query language Rbase uses).
XP is better, though because the DOS compatability mode has been enhanced and can be configured in more detail than earlier NT operating systems. |
