Id go NH over VT hands down. VT has some funky laws, trying to push more.

NH motto is live free or die.. can it get much better?

Are you looking for just good laws as far as carrying them goes or good laws when you need to use them in defense?

In the northeast, NH is the way to go.

Lots of choice out west (ID, MT, WY, UT, AZ, ND, SD, NV) all have broadly similar laws.

Alaska if you like the cold.

The south is pretty good, but most states have more restrictions on carry than the west (no church carry/bar carry/etc.)

Honestly, there are more good states than bad.

I was looking at land in upstate NY at places on acerage for hunting and recreation then to retire to. Untill  NY went batshit crazy. Their laws werent the best but we race in NY and have friends and faimly up there.

We are looking in NH now.

I would get out of the northeast if I were him. Those states are lining up to see can pass the most fucked up laws.

I was thinking Alaska would be the best place, but the winters are very long.

By loose do you mean in accordance with the 2nd Amendment?

Tell him to move to pa. Open carry is legal. Concealed carry permits are $20 with about a 20 min wait and no classes needed. Can carry pretty much anywhere. No AWB or mag restrictions. We also have a castle doctrine. Can't get much better.

Other than open carry (I really do not understand why someone wants everyone to know they are armed... as I see it as "shoot me first" for the bad guy)...

Texas!

Because you should be able if you please... And the mandatory class for a carry permit. I lived there, very overrated in my eyes.

"loose gun laws"?  Hmm....funny way to phrase a question.

There may be states with less restrictive gun laws and states with more restrictive laws.  "loose" sounds a bit off.

Just saying.

I have been in Alaska resident for 5 years now...you don't even need a permit to carry concealed...nor any formal training..although I advise agianst that...Only problem is shipping prices....and some places don't send ammo here....

Oh...and Moose are Deadly.
