Mine are ready-made pasta sauces; the generics and Ragu are too sugary/sweet for my liking.

Try Newman's Own. I like all of them.

I really have nothing that I really spend extra on. But there are some cheap things that I have tried that I won't be buying again.

What he said, pretty much all of them.

We're spoiled with farm eggs, organic produce, and franken-chemistry-free food. If it's in a box and we eat it, it better have only like 4 ingredients. If it's an animal, it better have been on a free range or have a bullet hole in it from someone I know.

Pretty much everything. I am very picky about what I will allow in my body and it can get expensive at times.

Meats and eggs: Must be grass fed, free range/cage free, no antibiotics/hormones.
Produce: I try to go organic, but sometimes I cheat.
Everything else: Must use all natural ingredients, no gluten, sugar, or chemicals or additives whatsoever.

I don't eat breads, dairy, or processed foods so eliminating those saves me some time reading ingredients on packages. lol

Avocados.  I think they're worth it even if they're $1.50 - $2 each.

Pork tenderloin has moved out of my price range.  It used to be $4.99 - $5.99/lb.  Now it's like $8-$9/lb

Anything that will be eaten in it's most natural form (i.e. EEVO, steak, fruit, cheese, etc.).  Fillers, for the most part who cares.

Apples. I don't care how much they are and I buy the variety I like. $1.99 per pound, $5.99 per pound, I gives less than a fuck.

EDIT-   Sushi. I never skimp.

We shop occasionally at the local German Deli. It's worth it to me, to pay a few dollars more to support a local small business and get fresh items not available at the typical "big box" grocers.

Wow, this makes me think either I am a really cheap son-of-a-bitch or I really just don't have high standards. About the only thing I can think of is sausage, I have tried cheap stuff but now only buy Jimmy Dean.

Pretty much all of the above... lol

I love guacamole and make a mean batch myself. But HEB sells some they make in-house that's sooo good! And for the 8 oz., or whatever size it is, I could make a huge batch myself for the price. But it's too easy to just open that lid.....

Anyone willing to spend extra on pasta sauces should save money and make their own. Easy as can be, much better, cheaper.

Very true, but sometimes the convenience is worth paying for. Even though it's not as good as homemade.

Fresh produce (although I really don't mind frozen for green beans, brussel sprouts, etc.), Good ribeyes on occasion, seafood, yogurts, pretty much everything. I was raised on good food (thanks Mom and Dad) and it makes me happy.

Now jellies, jams, and preserves are where your money really gets you quality. If a little bitty jar of preserves is $5 it is almost certainly going to be fucking fantastic. Cherry and blueberry preserves that are basically whole fruits cooked down, blackberry preserves that taste like they came off the vine. Fuck yeah. I like me some toast and jam.
