Yes, very true. They are much worse than Ebay and have been for years. Should have been on your list a LONG time ago. I still sell P-Mags every once in awhile when someone else lists them. Got 1 acct banned so far.

I understand. Amazon sponsored a gun "buyback" here in Seattle and I was pretty mad about it.

So they don't sell gun stuff. Neither does my dry cleaner, but I'll still take my clothes there.

When I need a hem sewn or some shirts starched, I'll be sure and skip the gun store.

Same here.  Until I start hearing that Amazon is directly lobbying for gun control I will take full advantage of that free Super Saver Shipping.

I did a search on archive.org and it looks like the "assault weapon" part has been there since at least 12/2011, well over a year.  Not sure if it was any earlier, but certainly not a recent addition.  Apparently they haven't enforced it much until now considering just a little over a week ago I ordered some lower parts there (buffer detent & spring, hinge pin) and have ordered a few Magpul parts in the past.

Amazon has got more gun related stuff  AVAILABLE for purchase than Sportsmans Guide right now.

Tons of reloading equipment ....and its Prime eligible.

And they offer bullets from other sites, they just don't sell them directly.

So , after further review, the OP's rant has been overturned....still 1st down.

I have bought a ton of gun stuff & knives from amazon. Yeah, they don't sell certain things, but then neither does Wal*Mart. Whoop-dee do.

And that gun buyback thing? I've said it in every single gun buyback thread. Gun buybacks do not infringe on anyone's 2nd amendment rights. They are entirely voluntary. Should you be able to dictate what someone does with their guns? No? Then quit being offended.

Obama has threatened to use the weight of the Federal Government, including the IRS, NLRB, and CPSC, to name a few, to harass companies who take part in selling firearms books and accessories.
