This is kinda creepy.  The "pick 3" for September 11th came up 9-1-1.

Yeah, tell me the game is not fixed.

At least with the mob, you know that your dealing with people who play fairly.

Lotteries are a tax on people who can't do math.

Yes and the Yankees won 5-4(=9) in the bottom of the 11th inning.  What does it all mean?   Not a thing! unless you realy believe street magicians have magical powers.

It's like the beginning of that movie, Magnolia.  Where the coicidences are so overwhelming and unlikely, they can't possibly be an accident.

One of my daughters works at Wegman's markets.
She work at the desk and sells tickets. She actually sold a woman a ticket for 911. She thinks it was rigged because it was the only night it was not televised when the numbers were drawn????

Had to be rigged.

The chance that 9-1-1 would come up all by itself is 1 in 1000 (or 3 in 1000 if the order is not important) on any given day.  But having it happen on 9/11/02, or any particular day, is the kicker.

There are a thousand different 3 number combinations and if there's a daily lottery drawing say 350 days each year, wouldn't it be 3 in 1000 times 1 in 350 or 1 / 350,000?
It might happen once in your lifetime...maybe...

It's a .000285% chance (if I figured this right).  Over 50 years, the odds improve to something like .014%--still pretty damn bad!

You can't trust the state to run a lottery, just like you can't trust the state to do anything else.
