They all work the same.  I prefer the ones I can get the cheapest.

it is common practice for the mil to strip the mags and mix up the parts including the floor plates so if you buy surplus "contract" mags who knows what your realy getting.

SGN is really cheap, if subscribed to yearly.  My buddies don't mind the "hand me downs", either.

As far as USGI mags, give me 20's.  I like to stay low.

rock on

I kinda like the Thermold twenty rounders, but they are very hard to find.

There's no difference in USGI mags. None feed any different than any others. I laugh when people pay premium for a Colt mag just because they think it will work better. It's a collectors item because they work just like the rest.

Redmanfms is right, the cheapest ones are the best.

Me too.  It's taken me a while, but I've collected 20 of them.  I still want more.

Your question basicly means

WHICH FLOORPLATE DO YOU LIKE BEST?

Adventure Line and Colt were the mags that I used in the service for the most part. That being said, I like the Adventure Lines because they are less expensive and just as good.

Police mag for the articles

Of all my magazines, the finish is the worst on Adventure lines, and they give me more trouble.

I heard that by far the best mags are the ones marked "Law Enforcement/Military Use Only".

I like Bushy mags since that is all that I have used. I know... I know they are all the same but...

I think that is what he meant. I've heard them called both Kay and even "circle kay", which happens to be the same thing as a 7-11 down here in Texas [;)]

The US made ones, not the Maple Leaf ones.

I like them cause they're black, don't scratch the mag well, aren't as "clanky" sounding and most importantly - they work! I haven't had a misfeed yet (still I only fill them to 28 rounds).

But aren't Thermolds harder to replace springs?

Smithsonian. Uh, oh, MAGAZINES. Ok, I got it. As pointed out before, the cheapest are the best. I'm getting to where when I bring them home, insert a few rounds and slap them into the AR to see if they'll feed properly and if they don't, I can usually "adjust" them with a pair of needle nosed pliers and get them to work. I've bought only 1 mag that I couldn't get to work. (My Panther shorty seems to be fussier about mags than my Colt)
