I am sure a lot of people here, myself included, would love to see some data on the number of members here vs time. It would be interesting to compare it to the numbers from NICS and other similar data. Would it be possible to make anything like this available?

Yeah, seems like a lot of support for 2A and a lot of new people joining the forum........ some stats would be really interesting.

Also...is there a marked increase in trolling from antis?

I'm guessing not a huge increase in bans but the whole thing does fascinate me and could give an insight into the strength of feeling in favour of the AR15 platform and similar.

Personally I welcome the newbs......good to see so much support for shooting.

Hope they enjoy the place.

I will say that this past weekend I found more purse swinging then I have in a long long time. Lots of guys with 200-400 posts needing refresher courses in the conduct code already.

The batch of dec12 and jan13 are by far the worst on average.
Crazy opinions, blatant trolling, dumb questions, no idea how to search for an answer, need to be spoon fed, are little special flowers, and tech forums are polluted, etc...

Not saying all are like that but I've never seen such a large trend in my short time here.

And it also seems there are a lot of postings of buyer welches from the EE. Wonder if panic buyers jumped in here and signed up, promised to buy pmags, and other AR parts at high prices and have now either began to feel that there will be no ban, or just woke up.

My wish would be to give noobs thirty days to see if they liked the site and then they have to buy a membership or their ISP is blocked.

Members have one year after joining to sign up with the NRA or other approved gun rights organization.

Hot women only have to post pics in BOTD on a quarterly basis to remain on the site.

Interesting stuff. Use the "traffic stats" button then compare Arfcom to other sites. Use Gunbroker as a comparison and you'll see some parallel rises in activity.

ETA: Really? India comes in second to only the US in number of Arfcom surfer. Really?
