Have three rifles. One 14.5" for HD, one 16" for SHTF, one 18" for SHTF. Need a scope for this 18". Until SHTF it will be used primarily as target shooting from 50-300yds out. Think I would prefer something in the 3x9 flavor. I would like the reticule to be illuminated. Think my budget is around $500. Have a TA31F-RMR on the 14.5" and BUIS on the 16"

DD S2W 1x8 twist 18" barrel
MI Gen 2 free float rails
Troy BUIS
DD BCG
Griffin Brake
DD Gas block.

I wouldn't go more than 4x if you are only wanting to cover 50-300 yards.

I have a TR-24G on my 18".

I am guessing the TR24G reticule is like the TA31F as far as distances go?

Something in the 2-7x category might not be bad.

How do you feel about the durability of it?  I've been thinking about a new scope for a couple of days.   I can't decide between an ACOG or an Accupoint.
