It's pretty fucking good, I haven't seen this before. About halfway through the marathon on Encore.

I remember that as a kid. Don't remember shit about it other than it had that gay dude from the thornbirds in it.

Pretty good, the book is good as well. It was actually loosely based on a real guy.

Liked it too. Watched it back when it was broadcasted the first time. Picked up some Japanese watching it. lol I felt it slowed down in the last episode though. This series in a way reminds me of the Tom Cruise movie The Last Samurai.
