Yeah, kind of tricky like "the edge".  Sounds more complicated than it is, but good use of the effect.

Pretty good but I think Metallica "Pulling Teeth" is more impressive. I might be alone on that though.

Cliff Burton's work might be more palatable to you (he was a damn good bass player for his genre), but this guy has him beat in terms of musicianship.
