In the official report from the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, Pohle was said to have "escorted Schwanke to the ground."

Pohle then waited with Schwanke for deputies to arrive, about five minutes Pohle recalled, which was enough time for Schwanke to plead his case."Let me go, stop, just the typical, I'm not doing anything, but he broke into the house," Pohle said.

Schwanke tried to shut the door on him, which wasn't an intelligent choice, according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.

"And then he shut the door and I ran back and opened up the door, I wrestled with him a little bit and he got out and as he was running, I tackled him, and I threw him to the ground and, uhh, we wrestled there for a little bit and I subdued him," Pohle said.

I like how they summarized the story:

A burglary suspect had the opportunity to visit a local hospital after meeting a Marine whose parents' home he attempted to burglarize Friday.

You can't tell me they weren't chuckling when they wrote that one out.

Schwanke, a prolific criminal with nearly three decades of criminal history in Spokane County, according to authorities, was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Go figure.

Great Job.... It does warm the heart when it has a good outcome.
Sadly the dirtbag had a long history of crime.
"I didn't do nothing" in his warped mind he was just making a living.

"Schwanke, a prolific criminal with nearly three decades of criminal history in Spokane County,"

We need to start killing "career criminals", early in their "career".

Does having a career as a criminal not count them as being unemployed? Cause that'd be racist to take away thier jobs and raise the unemployment numbers.

Probably the best outcome, however, ventilating a career criminal would have saved a lot of money and future burglaries.
