I am not so stupid as to advocate disarming the government. They should have the right to shotguns and hunting rifles, just like the Founding Fathers intended.

Yes, the police aren’t responsible enough to carry guns. What the police should do is seek the assistance of a civilian when they need access to a firearm. The civilian can then assist the officer with whatever firearm they are carrying.

And if the civilian isn’t armed? Then the cop should pull out his nightstick, beat the unarmed civilian, and arrest him for dereliction of duty.
