Had the IMI model A. Very heavy! Pistol round so hard to reach out. Stuck with the M4 type. Neat looking but that's about it.

I had an early UZI pistol with some certificate and blue box a long time ago.
It was top heavy, clunky and the trigger guard was against my finger. Traded it for a S&W 5906. The UZI had a shopping bag full of long & short mags I tossed in the deal. |

Had an Uzi, I prefer my M-11 with Lage accessories though...sold the Uzi.

I think they are the best thing since sliced bread. I have, had a few before I turned in all my gun's to a buy back. Some here don't like them but I really liked mine. Check out the Uzi files. |

I have a Model B Carbine made by IMI, imported by Action arms and a Mini set up as a pistol by Vector.
The Carbine is heavy for what it is, but I enjoy shooting it. It is more accurate than most people give it credit for and is extremely reliable. 
The mini is a little bit lighter, and for a pistol of its type it is a lot of fun. 
I had a 45 Carbine and an uzi pistol (aka Micro) at one time, too. the 45 Carbine was cool, but I only had 3 mags for it as not many were made and they were very pricey. The pistol I bought in the late 80s because I thought it was cool, but it suffered in the accuracy department. I sold it for triple what I paid for it during the Great Panic of 93. They're definitely an Iconic gun and if your tastes run to Action movies of the 70s-80s or its use by IDF, Secret Service, etc. its a cool piece to have in the collection. Although there are more practical guns that will do everything it does better. |

Had a model B back in the late 80's. Had to sell it when I moved to Chicago. Very heavy, though accurate for pistol to carbine ranges.
Loved it, but I would go with a UMP-45 instead in a heartbeat. |

I bought a UC-9 last summer. I've only put about 350 rounds of cheap brown bear through it. Not one problem though. Mags are still cheap if you know where to look. Mine has the extended barrel which looks funky, but the cool thing with an uzi is you can screw a short dummy barrel on in seconds when not shooting. Might SBR mine someday as well.

I had one of the Norinco clones years ago. Got a proper folder for it ASAP. Yes it was heavy. But it was a fun range gun.

i have no particular interest in the long-barreled closed bolt semi auto uzi - i think there are more modern long arms that expel pistol cartridges better. that said, i have a transferable FS uzi. it is hands-down my favorite weapon (and i've had the opportunity to run just about everything you can imagine), and the only gun i own that will never be sold. |

I put around a 3/4" buffer in the rear of mine and it now goes about 8-900rpm. Must easier to fire and keep on target then the slow original rpm rate.

Lots of points for 'cool factor'....and mine was very accurate under 50 yards. Fun range toy...but somewhat impractical. Too big to use like a pistol....too small to use like a rifle. For primary defense there are better options. For a fun conversation piece at the range, they are awesome. |

Had a full-auto, which I loved and used in SMG competitions occasionally. Yes, they're big and heavy for a pistol caliber carbine, but dead nuts reliable, accurate, and built like a fucking tank.

I really enjoy mine. I found I prefered the fixed stock as I have the 16" barrel. I thought the folder looked sorta retarded with the long barrel.
Plenty accurate at 50 yards. Yeah the "can" is fake and was made by a guy on UZI talk. LOL...I wonder how much the traffic will bear on these now?

I have a Vector SBR, even though I also have an AR15 SBR in 9mm and the Uzi is heavier, less ergonomic, less accurate and the stock grabs my beard hairs almost every shot, the Uzi gets a lot more range time. There's just something about it that makes me smile.
I really need to get a 3-lug barrel for it so I can put my Trident on it. I've both for several years but I've been lazy.

I have a semi Model B. Heavy, clunky, but hey, that how Uzi's roll. Fun gun to shoot, everyone wants to try it at the range. Very rugged and reliable. The design uses a striker so it's not feasible to bump fire it, least I never could. Maybe it's because of the grip safety

Yup RTG still has uzi mags cheap. The ones I got from him were new. Numrich has uzi mags decently priced as well.

When vector first made the mini pistol, I was the first to receive one. It has since been converted to SBR and coated with norells moly resin: 
i wouldnt trade it for anything. i also just ordered a nodak full size receiver and already have all the other parts to complete it once it arrives. would love a pistol to make a micro clone from but the prices on those are way out of this world stupid right now. |

I thankfully had bought one of the hinged backplates vector used to sell before they stopped selling parts. Dont even know where you could get one anymore. |

UZI's are great! I love mine, an IMI Model B on a form 1. I've fire a few full-auto ones, and they're even better. I just wish someone made a decent trigger for them...
