Ammo manufacturers give Walmart priority second only to the US Military. As for Colt, I don't blame them to agreeing to it either, Walmart probably buys ARs 40 or 50,000 at a time. |

Local Walmart received last AR15 (not sure which mfg) on Christmas Eve. Sporting goods guy I talk to all the time says they will continue to just show up from time to time. Gonna be dropping by the store on a regular basis..... and hope my timing is lucky.

Yesterday my Wal-Mart had NO guns. Zero. Nada. Not so much as an 870 Express or Rossi .410 There wasn't even anyone at the Sporting Goods counter, though they had left the special order gun catalog out on the counter. |

I know this because I bought an 870 on Christmas eve as they were pulling all guns, putting them in their boxes and carting them off to the back ( I thought they were all sold out....panicked and bought one of the ones that was left) |

I waited three days at one of my local Wal-Marts to see if any ARs showed up on the truck. I wasn't the only one. Matter of fact, one guy even brought cookies today.
After the FedEx and UPS showed up with no guns today, I called another Wal-Mart in a nearby town, they told me they were sold out as well. We were doing some shopping in that nearby town anyway, so we stopped at the Wal-Mart for a few groceries. I went to Sporting Goods and overheard the woman who works there mention going to the back room to see if any guns came in. I told her I'd stick around. She came back about 5 minutes later and said they had a DMPS Panther come in. Without seeing it, I figured I'd buy it and told her so. She went to the back to do whatever paperwork she had to do, and came back with the DPMS and two Colt 6920s. I bought both of them. $1097 each, plus tax, minus 10% discount (my wife has worked at WM for almost 20 years. These are our first AR's. |

As soon as those rifles came in, I bought it. I was there as she entered it into the inventory. It probably only showed in stock for five minutes. I think I simply got lucky. I stood at WM yesterday for four hours, along with three other guys. Right now, I have more time than money, so I could afford to stand there and wait until the truck came.
