That's awesome.  Are there any legal problems with shooting one of these down?

I would try the shooter for not using enough gun.

It wasn't in a million pieces.

Probably a real grey area right now, but with the amount of government agencies that will be using similar devices in the future stricter laws may be on the way.

I'll never be on a jury with a fun case like this.

I wonder how big the side bets on drones get.

I want First Person View r/c planes to become cheaper so we can just do a ram n' run.

My kid nephew does that exclusively in his bad company three game, just flies his jet into other jets or choppers and kamikazes them, makes them rage out. Pretty hilarious.

What's the best round for a drone?     Think these guys kept some long range 10 gauge goose guns around?   Maybe an old school punt gun?

This is not the first time one has been shot down.

Oh, probably a few thousand dollars per shot.  I've attended a few of those shoots as a spectator and have heard the side betting.  "A thousand dollars he (referring to the shooter on the line within ear shot) forgets to load his gun."

Can't help it. Damn pigeons keep flying near the drones!!!!

But yea, if it's flying over my land, then I claim airspace rights. You send an irani jet over the US and it's being shot the fruck down. How about SHARK learns to stop frucking with these guys and takes up a hobby or something. I mean really? Get a life.

Make sure and visit the SHARK youtube and homepage so you can donate money for their cause. I hear they need to buy a new drone.

A few weeks ago there was a article at wired, or some other tech website (don’t remember) about your rights concerning privately owned drones above your property.

As my old and foggy brain remembers it there is a SCOTUS ruling that says you do not have unlimited rights to the airspace above your property. If you did then aircraft couldn’t fly across the county without thousands of negotiated agreements.

I came away thinking that if a drone was circling my neighborhood at 500 feet then I have to live with it, but if it was hovering outside my window then it was a free fire type thing, assuming the law allows for the discharge of a firearm where you live.

The article is out there if anyone wants to look for it. I’m too tired and stuffed with my second Thanksgiving dinner (this one at my inlaws) to look it up.
