The issue that I am having is kinda hard to explain.  I recently purchased a new Blue Ray player and a 1080p HDTV.  When watching BR movies the flow, panning and overall movie looks like I am viewing extra frames since the motion on the film seems to be smoother.  It does not have the traditional picture flow.  As if I am seeing extra frames when watching BR movies.  It is weird viewing it.  Not sure if you guys understand me but perhaps some A/V specialists can De-cypher what I am experiencing.  My eyes and brain are not used to this "extra frames" or motion on the movie.

What say you ARF...BTW Happy Lechon and Turkey Day...

Interpolation?

Or is it your hdtv and bluray player are giving traditional film more of a video feel?

I forget what it is, but its a motion control thing. Makes it look like extra frames, but its not.moften you can turn this feature off. Males blockbusters look like home movies!

Hard to explain, almost like I am in the room with the actors, feels weird.  Does not have that normal flow.  Almost as if it was done via amateurish home video.  I wish I could explain it better...

Is this a normal effect or a setting that I missed?

I hate that too. Great for games, but I want TV to look like TV.

Holy Shit, that fixed it.  I turned off auto-motion...  Now the movies do not look like a home video production.

THANK YOU, ALL
...I truly appreciate all of your help.  I wish you all a very joyous Thanks Giving.

BLUE LABEL shots for all in this thread...

For me it's like watching soap opera (like extra frames per second) if anyone knows what I'm talking about. Took me awhile to get used to it.

For you Hobbit fans I hear the movie is shot at a higher frame rate so you're going to get that same feel.
