Me, I still have yet to go skydiving. I suppose it's a pretty common one for people to want to try once. I love collecting skills for such activities. Done many, many different things, but that one just hasn't happened yet.

Tough to say, whenever I wanted to do something I just did it.
Wing suit diving maybe.
|
|
Skydiving.
Driving a race car, which I did this last weekend in Las Vegas. |
|
You live in Florida and haven't acted on that? That's criminal!
I got my cert last year, found a deal on Groupon and decided I needed to learn something new! Haven't used it since though and don't really see it being used in the near future either! |
|
I did a jump once, beginner thing, 6,000 feet, static line. One of the most fun things I've ever done.
I was bragging about it at work and this probably 24 year old chick engineer just fucking owned me. "Static line? 6k? I've made 200 jumps, 15,000 feet.." And yeah, she was for real about it. She scared me. |
|
I've only done 70 skydives but screw base jumping or proximity flying. That shits crazy. I would like to get into scuba diving but its just finding time to do it with other stuff I got going on.

Some of you guys are intense! Base jumping is probably more than I'd ever want to do.

Surfing. Yeah, that's another one I'd like to try. But it's never been a real urge. |

Surfing. Yeah, that's another one I'd like to try. But it's never been a real urge. I've always wanted to try surfing, but it kinda seems like a waste of time. It's one of those things that takes a while to get good at, and I don't have that much time. I don't want to spend an entire day falling off the surfboard every ten seconds. It's not that hard to fall out of an airplane, so I'll stick with skydiving. |
|
Snowboarding. I think I'd be good at it. I used to skateboard so the balance seems like it would be the same.
Of course, I'm older now so maybe I'd suck at it. |

Quoted: Surfing. I've done a lot of different things. Surfing was the first and I did it exclusively for a decade or so. Growing up on the central coast it was pretty much the thing. We have world class conditions here. I've dragged knees around the racetrack, stood toe to toe with professional fighters, pinned my dirt bike through some heart stopping shit, dove through underwater caves, etc. Cheated death more than once. Not bragging, just setting up a context. Out of everything, developing my surfing skills and applying them in consistent overhead surf with my buddies was probably the best. There's just nothing like it. |

Working towards the BASE jumping thing now. I have wanted to do it for a long time. Finally got my ass started on skydiving about 3 years ago and been hooked ever since.
Kayaking would be fun, I think, too. I don't have much desire to get into anything crazy with it, but I think it'd be a relatively cheap way (compared to my other hobbies, anyway) for me to kill some time in the summer. Not sure why I haven't just gone and done it yet. I've always wanted to get into rock climbing, but I figure I don't have the body type to be very good at it, so I haven't done much more than an indoor rock wall here and there. |

Not as cool as we'd hope to hear. Appears to be a plastic skull with an old diver mask on it from the Google search I've done. |

Just curious how many jumps have you made? Most base jump classes will take you once you have 200. I like long peaceful freefall too much to do base jumping. I know quite a few people that do it but it just doesnt seem like something I want to do, at least not yet. Oh and if you don't mind telling what state do you jump out of? |

Snowboarding is like skateboarding in the snow, except you don't have to worry about the board disappearing from under you and when you fall you don't break your wrists and ankles in ten different places. In other words: go for it. |

Me and 10 chicks all at once. It would be hard but I think I could finish.
|
|
Would love to get into competitive shooting, but time as always is short.
|
|
I've surfed, climbed, skied, mountain biked, whitewater rafted, whitewater kayaked, ride a sports bike, and most recently, got into skydiving. Once I get my A license and get a bunch of good jumps, I'd love to BASE and HALO. Oh, and I have yet to bungee jump, so there's that, too.

I wish I had played football in highschool. I was faster than most of the guys on the football team except for the ones who were older and on the track team as well. I think I would have made a great gunner and Danny Woodhead type running back.

Now when I have to get IN the bed I stand back and frown while I develop a plan of attack. I`m sure some of you older guys know what I mean. |

Lifes too damn short to not do everything you want to do. Quit making excuses and do them.

Skydiving is on my list, even though I'm terrified of heights.
As far as regular sports, I want to try rugby. |
|
Hang gliding or ultralight.
I can handle the heights, but shit like scuba, caving and things like that make me claustrophobic. |
|
Pond hockey. Would love to play outside in the cold air. Not to mention its free. Doesn't get cold enough here to freeze ponds very often.
|
|
I want to drive a race car. One of these days I'll put the time together and go do it.
