Had a flyover this morning in Brisbane, Australia, so I left the office for a bit and took a couple photos.

They flew right down town, 300 meters above the river. I took the photos from a bridge.

Enjoy!

Cool pics.  I was visiting my brother in Redding, Ca and a c17 flew over the mountains right over the city in the valley pretty low . It was an awesome sight. I live across the river from Travis AFB. I get to see them all of the time.

So, you're telling me I can strap wings and jet engines on a wal-mart patron and get them airborne?

Love the C17. They fly over my house every once in a while. Very low and slow. It's impressive every time.

It does not fly, the earth forces it from the surface because of how ugly it is.

Well here in NC and i guess their Base in SC we see them all the time.

and um we see them at 1000 feet over are houses so yeah fun .

Specially when there is a huge line of them rolling into the base that used to be known as pope AFB by Fort bragg,

We have the depot for them here but I almost never see one in the air. We also have C-130s and F-15s in the depot and I see them all the time.

Yeah, it was amazing as they were right above my head. May not be sexy fast like a F-22, but it's still purdy

Really? They buzz us every fall and I think they are one of the quietest jets ever at cruise.

Wing area is inversely proportional to thrust.

We used to load those and C5's at Ft Hood, It looks like you could out run the things when taking off lol. We had a couple so loaded with vehicles that even the pilot said he was uneasy. Amazing machines and nice camera work.
