That would be a fun experiment.

The government takes.

In this experiment , I'd be giving voluntarily. For science.

But, an interesting note:  the gov would tax the shit out of:
-my winnings
-each of the recipients gift (right?)

So fuck that.

Yeah, I've always heard this and it makes sense. Would be interesting to see how it played out. Make them agree to being studied and audited/interviewed at 1,5,10,20 years.

Aimless has the general idea. My mother who was an accountant for EF Hutton back in the day used to say.. If you can't manage $10 you can't manage $100,000.00 and so on. I have found this to be a very telling tale dealing with million dollar budgets in the Healthcare industry I am associated with.

We had a small windfall, and managed not to touch it for several years until we ran into health problems. I would like to think that I would be responsible with a large sum of money.

Someone gave a bum a blank check.

Now, in 4 years, instead of owing $12T, we owe $16T.

Reversal of Fortune was the name of the flick and it was far less than 18 months if I remember correctly. The odd thing was the first thing he talked about doing was getting his teeth fixed, which he never did.

Yeah, saw that.  I was at first saddened to learn that I did not win, as I had been planning on it.

Then I realized that I could just win the next one!

Woohoo!

FWIW, my wife does not like the plan.

Well, I'm giving away MY lottery winnings.

To Porsche.

To Cessna (for the largest single pilot Citation they make).

To those guys making Me-262 replicas in TX.

The rest goes in a bank in the Isle Of Mann.

That would be me.

I'd pay off my house (no other debt), buy my wife a new (probably still used) car, and find good investments for the rest and forget about it.

Just not having the house payment anymore would free up plenty of spending money every month.
