very comfy and solid. a steal for 50.00 bucks.  normal price is 300.00  LA police gear was my vendor.

the usmc logo has a line cut through it since they were marine corp orders canceled due to defects in the boot.  I see no apparent problems.  It was a problem with soles coming unglued I think.

Tough to say what kind of "bargain" you have there.

Try to think it all the way through.  You'll probably figure it out.  If you don't, well, welcome to GD.

in my mind it is, i don't plan on putting these things through any where near the torture our boys give them in Helmand.  I plan on wearing them hunting or camping once or twice a month.

they are solid and comfortable and a steal for 50 dollars.

That's exactly the concept I'm challenging the first poster to discover.

I loved mine until the sole came unstiched and water could come through. Easily had 400+ miles on them before it happened though.

I liked my (issued) RATs.  They were heavy and hot, but the tread was great, and they were the only issued boot that I've used that was completely waterproof.  I walked/stood in ankle deep water for hours on one particularly shitty night in Afghanistan and they never leaked.

The stitching on the side didn't last the deployment however.

What do you mean a line cut through the EGA? Still serviceable for Garrison use?
I ask because I have a pair en route.

Then $50 is a fucking steal.

I paid $150 during the Thanksgiving debacle a couple years ago and I was happy as hell.

I love mine so much I bought 3 pairs. One pair is strictly for work and I stand on 270-325* asphalt all day. Not a single problem so far. 1year and 4 months of hard use so far.

That wasn't water you were standing in....

All kidding aside, I hope you enjoy your boots! I saw that deal when it came along but passed on it.
