So where do where do I sign up to nominate that guy!!??
I realize he says he doesn't want to be president but damn he makes a great statement and presentation... |

Uh yeah, he usually does. Pretty par for the course for him. This was extra fiery for Bill. |

The scary part of that video is the bit at the end, about with all the media bias it is still a 50/50 country.
The Republicans need to stop worrying about the other 50% and concentrate on the next 5%. We have ABSOLUTELY nothing to lose by running a true conservative. |

Wow! We need politicians that have the balls to speak the conservative message as frankly as Whittle.

This may be the quote of the year, especially the way he delivers it (13:27 in the video):
"The conservative idea of America is that we're a nation of steely-eyed missile men with our eyes on a far horizon. The future is unlimited, there's nothing we [can't] do. We have the power to vaporize any building in the world at our leisure. We have footprints and a flag on the moon. We believe in the power of the human mind and human creativity, human inventiveness, hard work, imagination. We believe that everyone should live like they have 250 million dollars. We believe it's time for you to step off, get out of our face, don't tell us what to do. You have a right to live the way you want to in America. That's our message. And what's their message? What is their vision for humanity's future on this progessive left we find ourselves against? Their vision of a future for America is a bunch of people sitting around in thatch huts, sitting around a burning cow pie, pulling parasites off of each other, eating their sustainable algae cakes, and having, y'know, organic bake sales to raise money for the guatemalan water snake." |

Holy crap. If that guy was writing the speeches, I'm pretty sure I could be elected President.

I've been a fan for a little over 4 years. |

We need more people like Bill Whittle invigorating the base and reinforcing our core beliefs.

The liberals view on humanities future:
"Sitting around having bake sales to raise money for the Guatemalan water snake" Brilliant! I like that guy. |

DAAAAAAYUM. I'm only 1/2 way into that video and he is KICKING ASS.

I am not ashamed to admit I have a serious man crush on Bill Whittle.

Bill Whittle absolutely understands what I have been trying to say in the "GOP sux and has to become democrats who can balance a checkbook to win" threads that have been inundating GD for the last two weeks. Our message is right and powerful, the delivery of that message has sucked since Reagan. I have said that it is because we suck at the performance art necessary in modern presidential politics. Bill Whittle's take, that our nominees don't actually believe it, hits closer to the why they suck. I would like to see Bill Whittle as a coach for whoever runs the next time and I hope that he is right, that our next nominee will be someone from or who can embrace the pop culture side of messaging.

He may be a fucking genius. If the OP doesn't post a summary of the link, I don't click on it.

I heard that Sarah Palin meets the Bill Whittle mold...but how many on ARFCOM hate her more than Obama?

This is exactly what the libertarians have been saying the right needs to do as well Romney avoided social issues like the plague and it got him no where. If he avoided social issues and had a delivery like Whittle we would be high fiving and talking shit to our demonrat friends right now. I would imagine that Whittle could take any social issue questions and ram them up the ass of the questioner and break it off and still piss of the religion haters so I don't know that full avoidance is possible and/or desirable. The issue is performance art, since Reagan we have had a bunch of stiffs trying to sell our brand and it doesn't work. I would like to hear Bill Whittle's take on social issues and the attempt to alienate the vast majority of the party by those who claim to know the future.
