On new cars with clear-coat it's very hard to conceal scratches. Step 1 is to clean it throughout to asses the damage. Try an old toothbrush to get all the loose little particles out of the scratch.

It might actually buff out.
You could try taking it to a detail shop. They have a dual action buffer that they can use. Worth a shot. Or just leave it. Then you can start parking right up next to the store without worrying about it.

If it's through the paint, the best bet is to find the color code of the car and have a small amount of the paint mixed. With a steady hand, you can color in the scratch. It'll still be visible, but better.

Find the guys who work for the local car dealers. They're the best at it. I've found that when I try to fix it, I just end up paying them more to fix what I fixed.

Be careful when giving out advice. What if its only down to the sealer? Should he wet sand it until he has a big area with no finish? Remember, new car. Clear has to have a certain film thickness to be durable. Too much sand/buffing will lead to clear failure later down the road... Nolo, if you can catch your thumbnail on it, youre basically screwed as far as having a cheap/easy/DIY fix. Take it to a shop and ask them. **PRO-TIP: Go to a body shop and ask them to take a look at it. When people do this with me, I always take the car to the shop and have my guy do a bit of sand/buff to determine how bad it is...90% of the time the scratch can be "improved" upon but not completly repaired. Many folks decide that they are willing to live with it then and save the repair cost. I always do this gratis and inform folks to come see me when they have more serious damage

it's deep. i tried a small dab of polishing compound on it and it made no difference. i'm going to call the dealer and see who they use to do their repairs.

Chrysler sells touchup paint in a spray can for jeep wranglers.
 Not sure if this is an option for you.

This, Get a good detailer and quickly if you can so that it doesn't rust.

That will come out rather easily. Grab some polishing compound and applicator pad. If that doesn't work and you're in central Texas, I'd be glad to help you out with my dual action.
EDIT: Just saw that you tried that. Get some fine sand paper. Wetsand with 1000 grit, followed by 1500, followed by 2000, then a cutting compound such as Meguiars M105, then a polishing compound like Meguiars M205. |

Just a bunch of paint. I'm not even going to attempt the sandpaper. I will ask the dealer and let them refer me to someone. |

Looks like a lot of it will come out, but there also looked to be some areas that were pretty deep. But IMO, It's probably worth the money to take it to a body shop and see what they can do. They won't charge you much just to wetsand and buff it. At that point you can decide whether or not you need to have paint work done. |
