And why do they always stick their finger in the blood? Is it because they think it might be kool-aid and they have to make sure? We always know as soon as they pick the gun/knife up, either the cops, or the maid is gonna catch them and say they did it. Can't writers think of some new script? You answered your own question. They follow the script. It's how it was written. They are doing what they are paid to do. |

It's called a plot device. It goes along with the "suspension of disbelief" concept.

That, and when the girl knocks the bad guy down, she stops and walks off so he can get up and come after her. And people never pick up weapons, they leave them and run off, until the killer shows up and takes them out.
