How many things do we really, normally talk about? Which threads are almost always going to "draw a crowd"?

1. Anything Libertarian

4. X pistol sucks ass
5. Secession
6. The Gop NEEDS to....
7. We should shoot/deport any immigrants
8. This particular criminal is A. Not surprising and B. Needs killing

To the contrary, I never cease to be amazed at the number and wide variety of topics discussed here.

The quality may not always be there, but quantity and variety abound.

Perhaps those who find the site too "shallow" are simply drawn to the same kind(s) of threads again and again...

YMMV, as always.

And the amount of guys that actually know what they are talking about or have experience in what you are asking about. From the medical field, mining, animals, guns, military, cars...just about everything. Almost anything you post about there will soon be replies from guys who have worked in that certain field their entire life and know a great deal about it. Always thought that was pretty cool.

True they typically turn into an f this bash fest. However I have been in some that are filled with people that are actually well informed on the issue at hand not just a kill 'em all in a blaze of glory type. None the less you are correct most times not much of a discussion.
