Oh and all Catholics go to hell...

I listen to this daily ( i am catholic)..

The idiocy is fascinating.

this person destroys rosary's and saint medals etc...

Tries to convert everyone that calls in with something called the good test and the way of the master....

I wonder how many people are like this, it is really scary.

anyone else deal with this at work? how do you handle it?

Seriously...

I've known a couple of people with similar beliefs and found them pretty interesting.  No reason to get personally offended, but I can see how being exposed to this at work with regularity would be seriously annoying.

ETA:  There are really a couple of routes you can go, one is to tell him politely that you would rather not engage in religious discussion at work.  If that doesn't work, or isn't an option for some reason then you'll either have to put up with it or take it to management and/or HR.

I've seen this in several denominations, no group has a monopoly on tinfoil. I wouldn't lump an entire group in because of one guy. Btw, I'm Catholic as well.

The destroying of rosaries and medals is kinda , but whatever.

Ask the person if they wouldn't mind you helping yourself to their belongings the day of Rapture, since they won't be around to use them anymore and you're convinced you'll be left behind.

They talk about sin, but what about their sin of stealing from the company by not doing their job?

The hypocrisy gets me.

My Father told me that when I was born in 1980, he was convinced that the rapture would happen within the next few years. He read some Hal Lindsey books and went to some pretty silly evangelic sermons/lectures...he's since mellowed out quite a bit

Wait for him to leave the room. Everybody leave spare sets of clothes laid out on the chairs or in mid-action poses. Everyone then has to run outside and flash torches through the window. Bonus points if someone can play a bugle.

People need to STFU at work and do their job!

I just generally state that I don't buy into Dispensationalism and that's the end of that.  If they press I explain that I firmly believe that Christians will not be spared from the coming Tribulation and that we had best be ready for it.  Anything further and I remind them that we are getting paid to do a job and it ain't theology.

It's the loudmouths that make other people miserable.

I do, the person keeps talking to me about it, telling me stories and asking me questions.

I got real pissed once when they said the catholics removed the graven image commandment fromthe 10 commandments.

I started ripping back and finished the conversation with "come back to me when you get a masters in theology"

This idiocy and blatant lies and talking down about other people's faith, or absence of, is very offensive.

What's bad about believing in the rapture?

I did when I was a Christian...And I wasn't Evangelical.

As for the guy destroying rosaries and stuff, I sort of
feel about that the same way Gene Simmons felt about
churches burning KISS records. He said;  "Please buy
and burn as many as you like."

If it's people's personal property, I think it's time for a trip to HR

I did ask them for the combination to the safe, incase the rapture happened, and my mom said,
