Local Healthcare system is cutting 2-3% of their workforce in anticipation of the the Medicare payment schedule and other cost cutting measures in Obamacare. 400 jobs gone.

Good? Bad?

Health care costs are out of control, but is killing jobs the way it has to be fixed?

Well, let's see... More people will now be "insured". You can expect more people, therefore to go get medical treatment. So putting a greater strain on a system, and taking away the workers of that system, asking them to do more with less... Yip, nothing to worry about there when your life is on the line!

ETA: healthcare costs are out of control because the free market hasn't truly been applied. When individual services are shopped for, prices can and do go down. See here for more http://reason.com/reasontv/2012/11/15/the-obamacare-revolt-oklahoma-doctors-fi
