4 day weekend this weekend, and taking off next thur and fri for another 4 day weekend next weekend to go hunting!!

Yeah courts are closed Friday along with most law offices and related stuff, insurers, title companies etc.
When I was young(er) and first opened my office I used to go in on days like the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve hoping someone would call and I could make some money
 A judge actually called me Christmas eve day one year and asked me to come in and plead some guy out to some BS charge to get rid of it because he was going to Federal Prison "I know you're the only idiot who is in his office this afternoon" |

Six-day weekend for me....today is my Friday. Should be nice. Get to see my college-age sons and making a bourbon run after work tonight. OSU-Michigan game on Saturday.
Next Monday, however, will be a bitch.

Looking forward to the 4 day weekend. I also normally work from home on Wednesday, so it will be closer to a 5 day weekend. Won't be getting much done that day.

Wednesday here also. That's been the pheasant hunting day with my son now for the past 6 years. Hunt the morning, come home for lunch and (if it snows) to dry out, then head back out for some bunnies. Look forward to it every year!

Mine is two and a half days, but only because I'm staff duty officer for 24 hours starting Tuesday morning. After that I'm free until Monday, unless one of my soldiers gets in trouble.

I think with budget problems the courts are more concerned about not having weeks of dead time when they are open but not really doing any work like they did 20 years ago. Hell there were some areas, especially Saratoga Springs around track season, where really the Courts were effectively closed on Fridays in the summer. That was a different time I guess |
