Personally, I'm not that big of a knife fan, much more interested in guns. However, this thread over on BladeForums is unbelievable! I'm sure some of you have seen this before, but for those of you who have not, ust get ready to drool like you never have before!
It's 39 pages of glory! http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/612884-SharpByCoop-%E2%80%A2-Gallery-of-Handmade-Knives |

Every time I see a knife that I have to have, I go to the next page and see another....

I think you mean "Beautiful Artwork".
I cold chisel old crosscut saws and make tools all day long. Knives are tools. This stuff is artwork. And it is beautiful artwork. |

I recently had Godrilla47 make me a custom knife and I told him that it is functional artwork. It is made to be used, but it is a piece of art too. |

If I had that razor I would probably shave once with it just to say I've given myself a proper shave!

The skill and creativity exhibited on that site is mind boggling!!!!

There are not many things that I'd ever consider being a "collector" of, I'm more of a practical "tool" sorta person
that feels if it can't be useful, than it's not wanted. That said, I could REALLY be a collector of knives like those. Holy crap those guys are insane on that forum. Most beautiful knives I've ever seen. I think pocket knives are elegant, and show culture. -ZA |

I had to stop going to BF. That website costs me more money than ARFcom by a long shot. I joined a few years ago and within a year I'd somehow acquired drawers full of beautiful knives that have cut nothing but air.

Considering the materials and the workmanship - I think that I got away with no real damage. But then again - there are a lot of folks that cannot visualize spending more than a few hundred for a knife. |

It will sit in my safe until I die because it's to damn nice to actually use. And that thread is a work of art. Both the knives and the photography |

I can fully appreciate these for what they are, unfortunately being a college student means if I'm going to make a big purchase it has to be functional. So I think I have a few years until I can purchase something like that. You don't need to spend a whole lot on knives to get a good high quality blade that will last a lifetime, however art is and always will be expensive. |

Coop has done a lot of great photography for one of my favorite makers, Bruce Bump: Bruce Bump gallery

Most of the knife makers on that site are tier 1 guys that have been around for years or dead. I was into knives pretty heavy in the late 80's and 90's and recognize a lot of names.
I have a few customs but nothing like those. They are beautiful. |

I try to keep my stuff simple but functional. This one went to New York. Really nice work! This may be heresy but I like the look of damascus without the etch. |

i have been wanting a Damascus blade knife for a while now, those are works of art.

Knife porn extraordinaire! My edc Emerson looks like a cheap slut now. Any idea how much they're asking for those "blades"?

Finally, something I can fap to tonight.
Beautiful craftsmanship. I have a collection of cheap knives and never leave home without one but holy shit. |
|
Some gorgeous work on those pages and I'm only on page 5.
Guess what I'm doing the rest of tonight |
|
Holly Shit Batman those knifes are amazing, would one use a knife like that or display only?

There's a guy up in the North East named Winston Churchill, don't know if he's still alive, but you should look up his work. |

One of my favorite makers is Osborne. When I was a teenager I came into some money and bought one of his knives. I sold it some years later, wish I hadn't but developing then fighting an addiction puts possessions in perspective.
