The market is not terribly happy, seems to me.
|
|
It already broke the support of 12617
The next big support level is 12101 |
|
It will hit 4 digit values again...bank on that like your lives savings depend on it.
|
|
As long as QE3 is in place, the market won't crash.
Until other nations stop accepting the toilet paper dollar for trade. |
|
I am happily holding on to my triple leveraged bear funds.
Up nicely since Obama won. |

The day before the elction we saw that unemployment ticked up to 7.9 from that BS 7.8.
Consumer sales dropped in Oct. Let a wave of disappointing 3rd Q corporate reports come in and watch what happens. |

Not to worry the Christmas rush to but stuff will save us all.....wait..... most of that stuff is made in China.
We are all doomed. |

I think what has helped keep the Dollar up is commodities are still cheap compared to a worthless dollar. I also think China is still buying all the commodities they can and stockpiling. You can't find a piece of scrap steel around here. All is being sold for top dollar in what is a very down construction market has me suspicious. |

Quoted: 10,000 by 1-1-13 Not sure if it will go that low, but it most certainly will be below 12,000 by that point, possibly 11,000. A "deal" on taxes and the fiscal cliff will probably stop much of the bleeding. |

How did Rome's stock market do? That said, I'm not saying you should pull all your money out of the market. Where else would you put it? It might be good to have some PMs on hand (and other preps), but I don't see how $100k or $500k could be reinvested in something better then the market. If it all goes it all goes. If you are really, really rich a nice sailboat and a well set up private island might be the ticket. |

history has proved that the market *usually* recovers, and will do so in spite of many ridiculously misguided and even harmful policies. Yeah, I think bottom here is gonna be bad. We have Obama, who is doing everythign wrong, and a country that just re-eected him. We have a flatlined economy and massive national debt. And we have an oncoming tidal wave of unreformed entitlements. The most likely outcome I think is hyperinflation. I just don't see how we will turn this around. It could be turned around in theory, but a POTUS who hasn't had a budget in three years and who has been running deficits over $1T isn't likely to turn it around, particularly when the actions required go against his ideology. Clearly the average voter in 2012 has no clue. |

I put it all in a TRP STABLE VALUE FUND (sch b) I can switch back to my old 2045 retirement fun after 30 days or move it to 2050 at any time, which gives me the same basic effect as going back to 2045. Then after my 30 days is up I can go back to 2045 if I need to. |

There's already a "White Paper" for the government takeover of 401K accounts. Look up Teresa Ghilarducci and 401K. They call it "Guaranteed Retirement Accounts." Step one will be transferring all current 401K and IRAs into a nationalized fund. |
