Bought some stuff off the EE.  I sent the seller my work address to ship the package to, but like a complete moron, I gave him the zip code for my home address.

Think there is a chance the dedicated employees of the USPS will correct the error or will they return the package to the sender?

They probably will return to sender because it will be way off base.

Initial sorting is all done by zip code first right?  So I'll bet it will go to the wrong sorting center, then get RTS'd.

I'd leave myself bad feedback for that.

I've had packages disappear completely due to an incorrect zip code.

But that still doesn't take away your new title, Mr. Idiot.

Even as we speak, your package is cycling between the two locations.

I live about 15 miles from work in a different town.  I've done the same thing is UPS and they figured it out and delivered the package.

Who care what the original topic was.  I like your idea a hell of a lot better.
