I'd love to pick up a couple of $199 10/22's. Problems: I refuse to shop at gander, Cabela's is too far away, and both stores probably only keep like 2 on hand.
I'll settle for a DVD/blu-ray player at $38.00. Need to replace ours. |

I can't believe all the people and waht they go through to get more unnecessary stuff. Plus I hate rude crowds of people. I bit the bullet and did the black friday thing once to get a new desktop computer combo. I got to the big box store a lttle after opening time and it was raining hard. As I pulled into the parking lot there was one spot left and it was right in front of the door. I ran in through the rain to see that there weren't any carts left. So I walk in mentally preparing to have to fight through throngs of savages in the hopes the item I wanted would still be available fully knowing I would have to fight back through those same swarms of 'locusts' to get to the register. After the needless adrenaline dump I walked up to the first mountain of boxes stacked in the aisle and lo and behold it was what I was looking for. No blading. no draw downs, no trampling, no nothing. I picked up the package by the handy cutouts in the side and scurried back up to the registers for the wait. Another 'let down'. Just as I was arriving, one of the express lanes had the only person in line grab their cart and start leaving. I walked up, plopped down my box, the cashier scanned it, I paid , and out the door I went. Total time car seat to car seat was about 4 minutes.
I swore I would never go again because it would only be downhill from that experience. Besides, you can get the same deals at the after Christmas sales without the crowds.

Had the chief idgit been bounced, I would have spent $1-2K I expect tax increases for each of the next four years and my job security has gone to zero thanks to zero. |

If that goes well, I'm sure next year they'll start at noon. There almost needs to be a law against opening on Thanksgiving. But free market and all. If those employees want to spend time with their family, they can just quit. |

I usually hit Academy for ammo deals. Last year they dropped the prce on Monarch 223 to $3.99 per box. I was in and out in 5 minutes, nobody else was buying ammo. Sadly, the leaked Academy ad for this year has no ammo listed.

bass pro has .50 ammo cans for $10 limit 10, but its only on the early morning sale. if i work that day, i might go as I gotta get up at 5 am anyway ill just get up a hour early and see. other than that not much

The reason for the season gets lost more and more every year. I've been hearing Christmas time music for the last couple weeks and some stores started putting out their decorations right after labor day.
