My sympathies. I have the same problem. Our taste in movies is very different. I usually bribe my son to go through the torture so I can play here in peace. Mental note to myself: Do not buy or rent this movie.

[:D] Last week she bought the "Talented Mr. Ripley" DVD and made me sit through the ENTIRE THING! Actually... the movie is getting a but more interesting now. The quest for "tech support" (goatboy) has just begun! |

I rather enjoyed it, mainly because of the mind bending twists. But it is a movie you have to pay close attention to from the beginning or you'll be lost for the rest of the movie.

im one of the few who thought the movie was great...
from what i hear thought he original (from which it was directly "stolen" (they call it "bought" in hollywood) is even better (and penelope cruz is still in it. the name of the original is "abre los ojos" and is subtitled spanish ps- listen to the directors commentary, its very enlightening as to the "intent" of a lot of the film |

Why would anyone pick Penelope Cruz over Cameron Diaz?
He should have shacked up with Cameron and they could have made Penelope their housekeeper. |

At least Penelope was nude in the original, "Open Your Eyes".
Cameron Diaz had a very scary look to her that would have sent me running screaming. |
