The gun can be aimed and fired using the coumputer controls and the view shown on the screen. |

history channel had something like this on some show about body guards. it was a chevy extended cab pickup with a cap over the bed. the gun was remote controled from the passenger seat

Well, let shope it's bullet proofed windows, side armor in the doors and kevlar covers on the seat (just in case).
That would be an interesting anti-tailgatting device.... Wish it was in a Ford Excursion...... |

I don't think I can express in words how cool it would be to roll up to the range in that suburban...
Range Officer: "What the F*ck do you think you're doing parked sidways at the 400 yard range?!" Me: "Watch this!" [buzzzzz, whirrrrr, clank] Blam!Blam!Blam!Blam!Blam!Blam!Blam!Blam!Blam!Blam!Blam!Blam! I wonder if they can retrofit that system to my new Cherokee? |

A couple of years ago S.A.R. did an article on the "Raptor" assault vehicle. A similarly designed Suburban with a .50 in a ring mount on the roof, twin turbo's and, armored. I think the price tag at that time was about $250K.

The CHP is considering adopting these as their standard patrol vehicle when the current fleet of crown vics need replacing.
