Well, I just figured out how we can boost our IDPA membership.  Have a Hollywood actress come and shoot every once in a while.

Wednesday night one of our local IDPA brethren brought his “little girl” to our bi-weekly competition and she entered the match.  Most of us knew that Erin who is now 22, lives in Hollywood and is in the Biz…but none of us expected her to be as attractive as she really is, and not just in looks alone.  To say the least, having her there certainly made the evening interesting.

Ya know…I’ve never seen so many lurkers not in that shooting round watching the early groups go through the stages.  (The guys waiting for later rounds to shoot were sure taking an interest in the competition that night!)

My son the RO was completely blown away when she thanked him for his help and guidance after the match by kissing him on the cheek!  He turned about twenty shades of bright red and was totally speechless.  I don’t think he’ll wash his face any time soon!

Here's Erin's website: http://www.erincahill.com/.  I don't know how to post pix...so go to the image files and load up the Wild Force images from the bottom of the list.  Also this one:  [red]TeamUpSet-01.jpg[/red].

For those of you that may not recognize her, if you have kids, ask them about the Power Rangers.  Erin is (was) the Pink Power Ranger.

Let me say just one more thing.  This young lady is not only beautiful but a very sweet, unpretentious and down-to-earth person.  She didn't ask for any special treatment or special favors, she shot competitively and she quickly charmed the whole crowd.

While she didn’t win the match, she certainly came in first in our book.

Thanks, Steve!  We owe you one!  [beer]

I kinda sorta recognize her, and yes it's cause the PowerRangers.   How old am I?   Turning 25 soon, don't know why but I used to use the PowerRangers as background noise while studying or doing other things, if it was on TV it worked as a pretty good tool to DIVERT my eyes away from the screen and turning the TV off just made the room too silent for my liking.

That and PowerRangers actually had a few really decent looking gals on it ;)

So, question is, DOES SHE HAVE ANY FRIENDS?    Common, you had to know that this thread would spin wildly off topic anyhow, might as well start early.

Now we just need to get the politicians and the media onboard.

Is she on the old Power Rangers or the the new ones?

Geez...I don't know.  I'll have to ask her dad.

I don't think she's working on that show any more but it might be in syndication.

I read in an interview with her a while back, that Milla Jovovich (The Redhead in the 5th Element) thought guns were fun to shoot.

You know why a lot of guys don't shoot, they are afaird of looking bad, I use to fit this catagory till a friend told me no one cares, do you care if some shoots a low score, light bulb goes on, no I don't. Have been shooting comp. ever since and having a blast, no one cares how you shoot, score wise, just that you shoot carefull and safe,( same thing I guess.)If this kind of thing has been holding YOU back, forget it and have some fun.

Another actress that likes shooting is Andrea Parker, you know, Ms. Parker from The Pretender

If you go to her listing at IMDB (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Parker,+Andrea) and click on her bio you'll see.

Last call with Carson Daly on E!: Milla Jovovich (SP) tells Carson that she had fun learning to shoot for her new movie, and he tells her that ever since he was taken to the Army range while on a USO tour he has wanted to start shooting as a sport.

I rented Resident Evil yesterday, where she plays the heroine.  Couldn't believe how beautiful she is.  Lots of MP5-K's and G-36's in the movie (b-horror flick and slow-paced at that).

She must be from the new Power Rangers or something, Amy Jo Johnson played Kimberly, the Pink Power Ranger in the older ones.

Not that I'd know...[;)]

Ya...Erin played Jan, the Pink Power Ranger in the new series.  The info I have is dated 2001.

We're all hoping she comes back to The Range for another match...and brings her friends.  Hey...did any of you guys who visited her web site check out the futuristic leather Tomb Raider type suit and space blaster guns in her new series?

I'm going to have to watch more Fox Kids Network.

[rolleyes]
