I have been a member here for a bit over a year. I have in that time noticed several repeating controversial topics that tend to get under the skin of a significant number of members. These include, but are not limited to,
1. Any mention of Israel
2. Anything to do with favorable or unfavorable contact with the police.
3. So called Militias or the so called Patriots who think they don't have to abide by the laws if its not specifically written in the constitution.
4. Anything Racial or ethnic
5. Anything religious in nature
6. AR v AK
My first bit of advice is to understand that we are a diverse group on this board. Many different backgrounds, many diferent beliefs. Do not presume that all of the people reading your message agree with you and are not offended by what you wrote. You are entitled to your opinion, but you may be wrong. You will certainly be asked to provide proof or basis for your point.
My second is to think before posting. Most of the regulars here have a fair idea of the beliefs of the others based on our postings or having met in person. If you are generally new and unknown, how will what you are writing be received. Be prepared and read your post twice before hitting submit.
Third, read the whole post before responding. Too often a mistake is made by the reader causing embarrasment later.
Fourth, if you are not sure of yourself, make a disclaimer or don't post it. This may be the internet, but people actually do follow the advice they get here. Many people don't really know what their rights are, what is illegal or legal, and except for the lawyers here, we are not qaulified to give legal advice. Neither are most of us Theologians, Doctors, or auto mechanics, but we do have a few.
Last bit, Have fun, thats what this is all about.
Thats all I have for now. Enjoy
