I got bored, so I decided to fondle some of my equipment while talking in the chatroom.

When I went to post, IT FELL OVER, so to speak....

Bah, that's not bad. Rub it hard with a sillycone cloth, or get yourself a rag with some CLP, and do what you can. If it comes out, fine. If not, fine. Shoot the thing [:)]

My AR barrel is scratched too. It's alright though.

NO NO NO Now seriously folks, I had a friend (KEYWORD: "HAD") that laid my BRAND NEW AR on a cement floor and now yours and mine have the same battle scars.

I was in the Chat when it fell, could hear the scream all the way down here in The Big City[tm].

But now I saw the picture and I have to ask, "What scratch?" [;)]

Better go and shoot a couple thousand rounds through the barrel and then replace it...

Yep its damaged. I would not shoot it.. Might kaboom. So I will be up north on the 24th I will just stop by and pick it up for disposal..

The technical term for anyone who babies an AR15 that much is "Tate."

As in: "Don't be such a Tate! Just drop your empty magazine and slam a new one in."

Anyone who was down at the steel plate match at the June HunGunFunintheSun knows what I mean.

My rifles don't feel like their mine until I put a ding, scratch or a minor gouge on 'em. It is bound to happen if you handle and shoot much.

Get out there and shoot that rifle and forget about it.

AR's are for shooting, SUV's are for taking off road.

I am always amazed at people who get so concerned about the looks of their rifle. Who cares what it looks like, what does it shoot like. Same goes for audio equipment where I've known people that have purchased a paticular set of speakers because they look nice (or have a certain name plate on them). I also get a kick of the the guys with the Lincoln Navigator SUV's with the big 31" tires and 4x4 set-up that would never ever take them off road.

Naw, just make up a really neat story about how those scratches came about!

'I was in a rice paddy and suddenly an irate PETA member/ATF agent/mall ninja jumped up and .....'

You get the picture, just be certain to delete this thread so no one can actually prove how these scratches came about, six months from now when you start telling your new story!
