Whoever ordered the concrete for the job we just finished made a small error.

We now have 10 pallets of 80 lb bags of Quickrete and 12 pallets of 60 lb. bags of Rapidset to store in the shop.

And no, our supplier won't take it back.

Whoops.

It was actually cheaper to buy a tow behind mixer and do it ourselves. Ready mix companies charge out the ass for graveyard shift deliveries.

The joy of highway work.

Plus, it would have been a short load every night. Adds up quick.

I think it's 39 of the 80 lb bags and 40 something of the 60 lb. bags.

No, but this was an oddball of a job. Electrical pullboxes in the middle of the road that needed concrete poured around them. Each pullbox only used 2 yards of mix and we were only able to do 2 boxes a night.

How big of an error is that in relation to the job?

Would think that somebody somewhere would have noticed an error that big by eyeball. You know, "This much mix for that much area? No way."
